Press release / (Frankfurt am Main) The exhibitor registration phase for DLG-Waldtage 2022, the leading venue for forestry, has commenced. The organizer DLG (German Agricultural Society) has finalized the topics for the accompanying technical program of the open-air trade fair to be held in Lichtenau in Germany, from 9 to 11 September, 2022.

“With the DLG Waldtage 2022, we are offering a practice-oriented outdoor field event for operators and decision-makers in forest business,” says Jan Kath, project manager of DLG Waldtage. “The preparation of the exhibition grounds and the planning of the technical program are already well underway, which will allow us an optimal presentation of the latest know-how from forestry practice and machinery demonstrations for visitors. The demand for forward-looking information and new, but not exclusively technical, solutions for the management of forests has increased immensely in the past years,” adds Jan Kath.

The trade show’s technical program will feature events and demonstrations on the following topics:

  • Applying natural areas in the forest: Close-to-nature forestry management, coarse woody debris and maintenance
  • Highly mechanized logging in mixed forests: Harvester application in structured, climate-adapted mixed forest,
  • Heating with wood: Comparison of process chains for the utilization of fuelwood: Techniques for individual volume needs from tree to boiler
  • Challenge: Climate-adapted forest: Reforestation, conservation and management for the creation of climate-friendly forests.

Experts from the forestry industry will be presenting current forestry topics in on-site forum events, including the 15th “Brilon Forest Symposium”.
