DLG-Feldtage 2021 exhibition to be cancelled due to pandemic

Next DLG-Feldtage exhibition to be held 14th-16th June 2022 on the Versuchsgut Kirschgartshausen in Mannheim, Germany / the international meeting point for crop professionals to provide content from technical program on DLG’s digital platform from May 2021

Press release / (Frankfurt am Main) Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the corona pandemic and the current lack of official approval to hold the event, the DLG-Feldtage exhibition scheduled for 2021 must be cancelled. The decision was made following in-depth discussions between the organizer DLG (German Agricultural Society), the DLG’s advisory board for the outdoor exhibition and the co-organizers. The next DLG-Feldtage exhibition will take place next year from 14th to 16th June 2022 at the Versuchsgut Kirschgartshausen estate in Mannheim in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. From May this year, the international meeting point for crop professionals will be presenting selected content from the exhibition’s technical program on DLG’s digital platform.

“We very much regret that the DLG-Feldtage cannot take place this year despite thorough professional preparation as well as strong commitment on the part of the industry. In view of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the overall situation of the pandemic and the current lack of official approval for holding the event, the conditions for safely holding the DLG-Feldtage are not met. As a consequence, we have made the decision, in close coordination with the advisory board and in the interest of our exhibitors and visitors, that the DLG-Feldtage exhibition will not take place until next year,” explained Dr. Reinhard Grandke, Chief Executive Officer, DLG. “With the new event dates, 14th-16th June 2022, we offer the industry a clear perspective as well as certainty for their planning. We look forward to being able to present this international meeting point for crop professionals again together with our partners and exhibitors,” added Dr. Grandke.

Technical Program on the DLG digital platform

Despite of the situation this year, crop professionals will still be able to access the technical program of this leading exhibition. DLG’s digital platform will be offering an event program with information on current crop production topics from May 2021.
